RAMS Pack — Risk Assessments & Method Statements

RAMS stands for Risk Assessment and Method Statement — the documents a main contractor or client asks to see before letting you start. A risk assessment identifies the hazards in a task and how you control them; a method statement sets out, step by step, how the work will be done safely. This pack gives you both as professional, ready-to-use templates, with a risk-scoring matrix and worked examples, for any trade.

RAMS Pack — FAQ

What are RAMS?

RAMS is a Risk Assessment and Method Statement together — the standard way to show a client or main contractor that a task will be carried out safely.

When do I need a method statement?

For higher-risk tasks, and whenever a principal contractor, client or tender asks for one. The risk assessment is the wider legal requirement; the method statement shows how you’ll do the specific job safely.

How do I score the risk?

Likelihood × severity, each from 1 to 5, giving a rating out of 25. The pack includes a colour-coded 5×5 matrix and a scoring guide.

Can I use it for any trade?

Yes — the templates are generic, with worked examples you adapt to your task and site.

What format is it and how do I get it?

Editable Word plus a print-ready PDF, downloaded instantly after payment.
